Ticats end Ottawa’s playoff chances

Jeremiah Masoli threw two second-half TD passes as the Hamilton Tiger-Cats defeated Ottawa 32-3, eliminating the Redblacks from playoff contention. Hamilton’s first home win in three games was also its third in a row over Ottawa. Masoli, who left briefly after suffering a bloody nose, completed 25 of 28 passes for 320 yards on the way to his first win in five starts this season. The Tiger-Cats improved to 5-5, one game behind Toronto and Montreal atop the East Division. Since throwing three TDs in his CFL debut, Redblacks quarterback Caleb Evans has been intercepted nine times with just one TD in four starts.
