Protocol sidelines three Blackhawks

Chicago Blackhawks Patrick Kane, Ryan Carpenter and Erik Gustafsson missed Saturday’s practice under NHL COVID-19 protocols. General manager Stan Bowman said during training camp that the team, 04-1 heading into Sunday’s home date against the Detroit Red Wings, is 100 per cent vaccinated. Players in protocol haven’t necessarily tested positive for the virus.
