Booster shots need more promotion
Lynda Hurley, Toronto
4 million COVID-19 vaccine doses are sitting in freezers. Why isn’t Ontario moving faster on boosters? Nov. 24
As Bruce Arthur so clearly explained, why isn’t the Ford government doing anything to promote booster shots and to lower the age availability to perhaps the 50-plus crowd?
When we have millions of doses sitting on shelves and only need to look at the COVID-19 crisis in Europe right now to know that it could happen here, it all sounds so reasonable.
Every decision this government makes appears to be part of its spring election campaign. Giving boosters to more citizens will probably improve our case counts, hospitalizations and deaths over the winter. Would this not be a good news story for the Tories and their handling of the pandemic preelection?
A very bad COVID winter will certainly not add to their fortunes this spring.
