Journalist’s killing sparks outrage, May 13

I was very troubled by Tony Burman’s piece that described the killing of Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh as by Israel.

There is a question as to whose bullet killed the journalist.

Israel asked for a joint investigation of the killing and an examination of the bullet. This was refused by the Palestinians.

Shireen Abu Akleh stood for the pursuit of truth and the reporting of facts.

Burman has presumed Israel guilty while the actual facts of the situation are not known. Steven Mlotek, Toronto
