Season No. 50 last for Eck

Hall of Fame pitcher Dennis Eckersley plans to leave his Red Sox broadcasting job at the end of the season, his 50th in Major League Baseball. Eckersley, the 1992 American League MVP and Cy Young winner with the Oakland A’s, joined NESN in 2003 and stood out for his outspoken and colourful analysis on the Red Sox broadcasts.
