With so many different streaming platforms and cable offerings to navigate, choosing what to watch has never been harder. To make things easier, here are our best tune-in tips for the week ahead.

MONDAY A Trip to Infinity

Mathematicians, particle physicists and cosmologists explore the concept of infinity and the great beyond in this new Netflix documentary. Judging by the trailer, it appears the movie will ask difficult questions while also offering some intense imagery. Just make sure you have all your wits about you when you do decide to absorb this one.

TUESDAY From

This fascinating series unravels the mystery of a small town in middle America that traps anyone who enters it. As the unwilling residents fight to keep their sanity while simultaneously searching for a way out, they must also survive the threats of the surrounding forest.

Bachelor in Paradise

While I used to really enjoy “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette,” they now seem like really long commercial breaks until we can get back to Paradise. The eighth season of the series sees Jesse Palmer assume full-time hosting duties. Other changes this season include couples being separated by gender, with one group going to another villa to meet new singles without facing the wrath of whomever they have already coupled up with.

WEDNESDAY The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers

The pick of the week is the new season of “The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers” on Disney Plus. It’s hard to believe that the story of a plucky underdog team of teenage hockey players made its big-screen debut in1992. Thirty years later, the film trilogy that was turned into a TV series is back for its sophomore season. While I was skeptical about how the famous franchise would feel as a streaming series, I was pleasantly surprised by the first season. Unfortunately, when the show does return, it will be without Coach Bombay as Emilio Estevez left after failing to reach an agreement for the new season. He will be replaced by Josh Duhamel, who plays Colin Cole, a former NHL player who now runs an intense summer hockey institute in California.

Eat the Rich: The GameStop Saga

In January 2021, a group of amateur online traders managed to flip Wall Street on its head by investing in video game retailer GameStop. The trades took place in the middle of the pandemic when anonymous Reddit users banded together to successfully enact a shocking getrich-quick scheme. The real-life characters behind the story are revealed in this new documentary series.

Netflix

Blonde

Based on the bestselling novel by Joyce Carol Oates, this fictional portrait of Marilyn Monroe stars Ana de Armas in the title role. The movie has already drawn early criticism for its presentation of the actress as a victim of both neglect and addiction. Controversy has swirled primarily around the film’s depictions of abortion and the way it has chronicled Monroe’s relationship with John F. Kennedy.

Netflix

THURSDAY Dreams in Vantablack

This poetic anthology of 12 animated short films featuring Black youth poets from across Ontario is directed and created by former world poetry slam champion Ian Keteku. The series promises to offer a rare view of Black youth culture through the lens of different African-Canadian voices with fresh perspectives.

FRIDAY The Greatest Beer Run Ever

After premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this month, this Apple original stars Zac Efron as Chickie Donohue, a fun-loving guy who wants to show support for his friends serving in Vietnam by bringing American beer to them on the front lines. Shockingly, this is based on a true story. The film co-stars Russell Crowe and Bill Murray.

Hocus Pocus 2

Nearly three decades after “Hocus Pocus” made its big-screen debut, the sequel will stream this week. It has been 29 years since someone lit the Black Flame Candle resurrecting 17th-century siblings and now it is up to three high school students to stop the witches once more.

ET Canada Presents: Indigenous Artists & Icons: Celebrating the Future

In recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, “ET Canada” presents a new special hosted by Shayla Stonechild. “Indigenous Artists & Icons” will feature interviews with musician Buffy Sainte-Marie, MUSKRAT Magazine founder Rebeka Tabobondung, and Josh Nash and Kiefer Collison from “Big Brother Canada.”

SUNDAY The Walking Dead

It’s hard to believe there are just eight episodes of “The Walking Dead” left before the groundbreaking series draws to a close. The show has been on a downward spiral in recent years, losing most of its core cast, including Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira. The show also seemed to lose itself as Sunday’s premiere seems to be about a political power struggle rather than a fight to survive the zombie apocalypse. It’s also hard to be invested knowing that Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan have already secured spinoff deals, as has Norman Reedus (meaning no matter what happens in these last eight episodes, we know Negan, Maggie and Daryl will make it out alive). It kind of lessens the stakes. That said, we still have to see how it all ends. 9 p.m.,
