Danielle Smith’s Alberta sovereignty act eats at our trust in democracy. Why aren’t Conservatives calling her out?

She is pushing Canada to continue to be a petro state. However, the economic engine of Canada is Ontario. A high dollar limits exports. Not meeting global climate goals will lead to tariffs on exports and exports of fossil fuels will decline in the long term.

Climate change is having a disastrous impact in Alberta.

Democracies need compromise, education and adaptation. Canada needs a plan that leaves no one behind.
