It is with profound sadness, we announce the passing of our sister, aunt, and great-aunt, Patricia Hayden. Surrounded by the love of her family, Pat died peacefully, on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, at the age of 84 years. Beloved sister to Audrey Drage (Joseph Drage), Sylvia Cowell (Glen Cowell), and Wesley Hayden (Teresa Hurlbut). Loving aunt of Tonya and Philip Walker, Patrick and Jennifer Hayden, Je ery Hayden and Kara Patrick, and Jade and Saxon Hurlbut. A ectionate great-aunt to Noah and Emma Walker, and Kai and Bodhi Hayden. Pat will be sadly missed and forever honoured as a gentle and loving woman, a successful entrepreneur and businesswoman, and a faithful friend. Pat is remembered with love by family and friends in Ireland and England. Born in Dublin, Ireland, to Violet and Robert Hayden, Pat immigrated with her family to Toronto in 1954. Soon after their arrival, she found work and helped to support her family. As the family prospered, Pat began to travel and met her great love and favourite travel companion, Sidney Allen. Together they explored the world. Sidney encouraged Pat to open her own business. A pioneer in the nancial services industry, in 1990, she founded Hayden Annuity and Retirement Counsellors, among the rst female-owned nancial advisory companies in Toronto, a business she ran until her retirement. After successfully selling her business, she devoted herself to travel, friends, and the care of her mother, Violet. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the nurses, doctors, and sta of Sunnybrook Cancer Centre and Palliative Care Wing for their care and compassion. Pat's family has made a donation to Sunnybrook Hospital to commemorate the loving care she received from her devoted medical team. Please consider a donation in her memory to the hospital. Family and friends may gather at York Funeral Centre, 160 Beecroft Road, Toronto, on Friday, December 9, 2022. Visitation from 1:00 2:00 p.m., followed by a Service to Celebrate her Life at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the York Funeral Reception Lounge from 3:00 5:00 p.m.
