Man in hospital after stabbing at York U campus

A man is in hospital with “serious injuries” after a stabbing at York University in North York on Wednesday night. In a tweet posted at 7 p.m., Toronto police said officers attended the school after reports of a group of people fighting on the campus grounds. Police said the suspects fled. The man’s condition is considered to be non-lifethreatening. In a screenshot of a campus email alert shared with the York University subreddit, the school said people in the group knew each other and that one of the people involved is a student. The suspects injured a “non community member bystander,” according to the email. York University said it will increase campus security patrols in the area.
