Cohen Prize noms named

Nominees have been revealed for the $25,000 Shaughnessy Cohen Prize for Political Writ- ing, which will be announced May 10 in Ottawa.

The nominees include Norma Dunning for “Kinauvit?: What’s Your Name? The Eskimo Disc System and a Daughter’s Search for her Grandmother”;

Andrew Stobo Sniderman and

Douglas Sanderson (Amo Bi- nashii) for “Valley of the Bird- tail: An Indian Reserve, a White Town, and the Road to Recon- ciliation”; Dale Eisler for “From Left to Right: Saskatchewan’s Political and Economic Trans- formation”; Josh O’Kane for “Sideways: The City Google Couldn’t Buy” and Chris Turner for “How to Be a Climate Opti- mist: Blueprints for a Better World.”
